Ask any southeast asian about the prospect of seeing "winter wonderland" and you will receive the same reaction filled with excitement and giddiness. Those who may have experienced winter may roll their eyes out at us but, come on! Give us a break! We grew up in the tropics after all! ;)

And... since I'm a real southeast asian, I got totally hyped by it because it was my first time to see snow-- never mind if it's artificial. IT'S SNOW.

However, apart from this excitement, I am no ignorant fool. As with any kind of weather, I know for a fact that winter can be as unforgiving as any kind of weather; and holding onto snow with your bare hands isn't fun because even though it looks fluffy and harmless, the cold actually bites and digs into your skin and flesh.

*cough*

I'm going to skip personal theatrics and get down to the nitty-gritty: Welcome to Dubai! :D

After nearly 2 years of hiatus from this blog, I have returned to offer you a brief description of how it is to travel around Dubai (I know! I'm surprised myself!). While this may not be the best blog to look around for discounts, cheap tours and whatsoever, I can assure you (yes, YOU who may have stumbled through this blog by chance) that I can provide you with details about how to move around glamorous Dubai.

Take note: I have only been working here for nearly 1 year now-- just a month shy from today (29 Jan 2016)-- so, there may be some things that I still cannot answer. I'll do my best to answer your query though, if you have one or a few more.. :)

The last hike I did was waaay back February 2012, at Mt. Batulao, so I expected my body to complain a LOT during and even more, post-activity.

I was bloody right. -_-

This is an obligatory, long-overdue post, so I'm going to make this quick. I just realized, I haven't gone out in a while due to work-related issues. *sighs*

almost at the top. -_- I remember using a colorful string of curses because
our pacer kept on saying, "we're near! We're almost there!" only to find out that we
had to hike for two hours more. -___-

It's been quite a while since I last updated and pretty much everything in my life has gone down in a spiral drain. I figured though, I am morally obliged to post this trip because I vowed to myself that I would document my travels for reasons that only the future would know. :)

To begin, this wasn't one of those ordinary happy trips that I had previously because of (1) there was a storm of irritating proportions, (2) I didn't like that we spent more than what we should have, (3) personal problems; and (4) cancelled flights.

Was it a trip to hell and back? Not entirely. But it definitely made me want to kiss the dirty asphalts of Manila when we got back. XD
