Taking a break from all those nature trippings, here's a bit of our local urban scene.

Up Dharma Down

My boys, Ray and Jon, and I were supposed to go to UP Fair because we've heard that Up Dharma Down, Franco and Urbandub will all be there as performing guests. Now, while heading off to Makati to pick-up Ray from work, he called us and said that he won't be able to make it anymore because of work, blah-blah. Long story short, it was just me and Jon which was fine by us since it wouldn't be the first time that this happened anyway.


At the UP Sunken Garden... um, well, everything was sunken. Pardon the pun, but it was sunken with people and mud. Entrance was blocked, probably because the place was already packed and my pair of 8-day-old havies nearly got ruined. While traversing through all those mud, I was silently cursing at myself for not listening to instinct earlier when I, somehow, stared at my durable pair of hiking sandals. Now I know why.

but this is what happened to Jon's chucks

Due to the lack of any water source, Jon bought a big bottle of mineral water to clean my muddy feet, and we decided to leave the place because there was no way in hell will we be able to go within the barricade. Not with all those mud and orcs.


We called up Ray and asked him to meet us at Mercato in The Fort to vent out our frustrations on food, then told him that we'll decide what the plan will be. Then, out of the blue, Jon wondered out loud if Up Dharma Down would be performing somewhere else after UP Fair.


And Lo! They do! Terno Inferno at SaGuijo in Makati.


We arrived at the place at around 11pm, and were promptly informed that UDD would perform at around 2am. We decided to delay entering the place to simply have a round of (cheaper) booze. Hehehe.


At 1am, we entered SaGuijo and rooted ourselves at a spot near the "stage". At first I thought we got lucky for securing the area, but when it was time for UDD to perform, our spot was overrun by people. Suddenly, we were standing behind three lines of human barricade. -_-
